Frequently asked

Everything you asked before booking

Where are HOUSINN apartments located in Medellín?

HOUSINN has two buildings in Medellín. HOUSINN co-living Fátima is at Calle 30A #65A-12, in the Fátima neighbourhood of Belén, between Laureles and Olaya Herrera airport. HOUSINN co-living Ayacucho is at Calle 49 #38-36, in the Buenos Aires area of downtown Medellín, 80 metres from the Bicentenario tram station.

How much does it cost to stay at HOUSINN per night?

Rates start from COP 110.375 per night, taxes included. The exact price depends on the apartment and the dates; availability and prices are shown in real time on www.housinn.co.

Can I book HOUSINN directly instead of through Airbnb or Booking?

Yes. The whole booking happens on www.housinn.co: you pick your dates, see the live price and pay there, without being sent to another site. HOUSINN also lists on Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia and Despegar, but booking direct avoids platform fees.

How do I pay for a HOUSINN booking?

Payment is taken on www.housinn.co itself, in Colombian pesos. There are three options: card, PSE or Nequi, which confirms the booking straight away; bank transfer; and QR code. With a transfer or a QR payment you send the receipt and the booking is confirmed as soon as it is checked.

Do I have to pay for the whole stay upfront?

No. At checkout you choose between paying 50% as a booking guarantee — the rest is paid at check-in — or paying 100% upfront. Rates include taxes either way, except stays of 30 nights or more, which are VAT-exempt.

What time is check-in and check-out at HOUSINN?

Check-in is from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm and check-out is until 12:00 pm. Check-in is contactless: you receive a smart-lock code and let yourself in at your own time, so late arrivals are not a problem.

Is there parking at HOUSINN in Medellín?

Yes. The Fátima building has three free parking spots inside the building, available on request when booking.

Is the area around HOUSINN safe, and how do I get around?

HOUSINN co-living Ayacucho has security and reception 24 hours a day, every day, and sits 80 metres from the Bicentenario tram station on Calle 49 #38-36, in the Buenos Aires area of downtown Medellín, so you can arrive and leave by public transport without long walks. HOUSINN co-living Fátima is at Calle 30A #65A-12, in the residential Belén area, and has three free parking spots inside the building, on request when booking, if you are driving. They are two different settings: if you want specifics about either neighbourhood before booking, message us on WhatsApp and we will tell you straight.

Does HOUSINN allow pets?

No. Pets are not allowed in either building. Children from 2 to 12 and infants under 2 are welcome, though cribs are not provided. Smoking, events and parties are not allowed.

Is HOUSINN suitable for digital nomads and long stays?

Yes. Every apartment has high-speed WiFi and a laptop-friendly work area, and stays longer than 28 nights are allowed. Stays of 30 nights or more are exempt from VAT, so the rate is charged without the 19% tax. It is a threshold, not a sliding scale: a 29-night stay can come out more expensive than a 30-night one, so if your dates land just short it is worth extending. The apartments are fully furnished with a kitchen, washing machine, linen and Smart TV.

How many apartments does HOUSINN have?

HOUSINN operates 43 co-living apartments in Medellín: 36 studio suites in Ayacucho, downtown, and 7 two-bedroom apartments in Fátima, Belén.
